Nothing completes a dinner like a perfectly fluffy, roll. The only way to make a roll better is by adding cheese and suculant herbs. These delicious homemade rolls can be prepared while the rest of the food is cooking and will be ready just as the table is set.


  • 1 C +2 Tbsp warm water
  • ⅓ C oil
  • 2 Tbsp yeast
  • ¼ C sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3½ C flour
  • 2 C grated cheese, combination of Cheddar, Parmesan, Asiago and Romano
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter, divided
  • 1½ Tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped fine


  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 9x13 pan and set aside.
  3. In your mixer bowl, combine the water, oil, yeast and sugar and allow it to rest for 15 minutes. Using the dough hook, mix in the salt, egg, flour, and herbs.
  4. Knead with hook until well incorporated and dough is soft and smooth. A few minutes should do it.
  5. Form dough into 12 balls and place in your greased pan. Let dough rise for 10 minutes.
  6. Brush top of rolls with 2 Tbsp melted butter and sprinkle each role with 2 Tbsp of grated cheese mixture.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and brush with remaining 2 Tbsp butter.
